Left-handed pitcher Blake Snell has agreed to a deal with the Dodgers.
The former Giants starter finalized a five-year, $182 million contract on Tuesday night, as confirmed by The Post’s Jon Heyman.
The contract includes no opt-outs and is pending a physical. Snell will also receive a $52 million signing bonus, according to Heyman.
The deal does not include a no-trade clause, but according to Heyman, it features an assignment bonus if Snell is traded, along with deferred payments.
The Dodgers reportedly edged out the Red Sox in the race to sign Blake Snell.
According to Jon Heyman, the Yankees held a Zoom call with Snell earlier in the day, but their primary focus remains on Juan Soto, with backup plans on hold for now.
Snell, a former Cy Young Award winner, is coming off a season with the Giants in which he posted a 5-3 record and a 3.12 ERA across 20 starts.
Snell, who boasts a career record of 76-58 with a 3.19 ERA over nine seasons, struck out 145 batters in 104 innings last year. Despite a slow start due to injury, he rebounded in the second half of the season.
The left-hander struggled early, carrying a 9.51 ERA through his first six starts with the Giants heading into July.
