No matter how you celebrate, Thanksgiving likely involves some form of a festive meal. Preparing a feast is no easy task, and if you've just realized you’re missing a key ingredient—like the turkey—you’re probably wondering which stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day.
Even if you’ve got your Thanksgiving meal all set, you might be looking to kickstart your Christmas shopping. Either way, it’s helpful to know which retailers will be open.
To save you time and avoid unnecessary trips, here’s a list of stores, grocery chains, and convenience shops open on Thanksgiving Day 2024.
Keep in mind that state laws in Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island prohibit most stores from opening on Thanksgiving. As a result, many retailers and grocery stores will be closed in these states, even if they remain open elsewhere.
